CSA signup: A handful of spots remain

Each week, members of Rising Phoenix Community Farm’s CSA get a box of seasonally available produce. In the early growing season, that produce includes lettuce mixes, Napa cabbage and other leafy vegetables. As the season progresses, so does the variety of vegetables, as is shown in the weekly delivery from August 2019 when tomatoes, potatoes, broccoli and other farm favorites are ready for harvest.

We are excited to be getting ready for the 2021 growing season here at the farm. If you would like to sign up to receive a weekly order of vegetables, it’s not too late.

Founded in 2011, Rising Phoenix prides itself as being unique among this region’s CSAs in that we plan monthly gatherings so that we, your farmers, can get to know you, our customers, and vice versa. It is a community formed around food.

Here are the details for the 2021 growing season:

  • CSA season: We will be providing our members with a box of produce weekly from late June to early October (or first frost). This will be about 16 to 17 weeks.
  • Weekly deliveries: We offer a full, weekly share as well as a half share (deliveries every other week). Boxes are delivered to our Duluth pickup location, the Duluth Folk School, on Tuesday afternoons. Members may also pick up at our farm in Barnum.
  • How much does it cost? A full share is $525. Members can also choose to pay $475 in exchange for working 6 hours on the farm.
  • Another option: We also offer a half-share option for $275 for vegetables delivered every other week.
  • A $50 deposit is required with registration. Final payment is due by June 1.
