Description: Purchase your ticket for our Saturday, September 5, Mexican-inspired meal featuring Rising Phoenix vegetables, Y-Ker Acres pork and other locally sourced products. The meal will be prepared by Conor and Jill, owners of Denham Run Bar and Grill. We’ll have farm tours and the farm stand will be open. After our meal, we’ll enjoy music provided by our dear friends, Brooke and Caleb, aka Wetland Willows!
It’s going to be a grand evening.
Menu:
- Pork carnitas (Y-Ker Acres Farm)
- Salsas (Rising Phoenix vegetables)
- Side dishes: We’ll have a color selection of Latin-inspired side dishes made with our seasonal vegetables and herbs, including Adirondack blue potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, summer squash and peppers
- Locally sourced beans
- Blueberry buckle for dessert (Sweet Land Farm)
Beverages: Each ticket comes with a free drink. There will also be a cash bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Signature Cocktail: A Rising Phoenix margarita. Denham Run will be concocting a themed drink for the night using fresh herbs from the field. Of course, you can get that as a mocktail as well!

*About the cost: Let’s be honest, the cost of paying for music, caterers, rental equipment, meat, beverages and the vegetables we provide is well above this price. If you can afford to pay more, we’d ask that you consider making a contribution to our Farm Sustainability Fund. However, if you can’t afford $40, we’d still love to have you. Please send us a note and we can work something out.

About Wetland Willows
Brooke and Caleb Anderson are the wife and husband duo who make up Wetland Willows. The pair creates a full sound, with Brooke on vocals, guitar, stomp box, and foot tambourine, while Caleb adds depth with piano basslines, melodies, and syncopated rhythms. Brooke’s songwriting features rich melodies, gospel undertones, and thoughtful lyrics, influenced by the sounds of New Orleans. Before they decided to start a musical project between just the two of them, they performed with other bands. They’ve played together in the Holy Hootenanners, they sit in with Boss Mama & the Jebberhooch, and Brooke is half of the MinorBirds duo that’s also often supported by a full band including Caleb. About Denham Run Bar & Grill
Jill and Conor Maki are professionally trained chefs with years of experience in the culinary world. After years of working for other people, the Makis took a risk and bought their own restaurant in 2019. Denham Run Bar & Grill is located in Denham (population 37, according to the 2020 Census!), right on the Soo Line Trail in Pine County. Their restaurant prides itself on locally sourcing as much of its meat and vegetables as possible. They are always experimenting with fun and creative specials. They also cater events — like ours.
FAQs
What do the tickets cover?
Tickets cover the tour, dinner, and music and one free drink. A cash bar will be available throughout including both alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages. Tickets for kids 6 and under are free.
Where will I park?
For those who are able, we will have parking in our field, just north of where the festivities will be and just west of our deer fence. There will also be designated parking spaces for those who are less mobile.
Is the event wheelchair accessible?
A handicapped-accessible bathroom and parking drop-off/pick up point will be available. Portions of the farm tour and historic farm buildings may not be accessible.
What should I wear?
Most of the event will be outdoors. Please bring layers for all types of weather, and wear comfortable walking shoes that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty if you’ll be joining the farm tour.
Can I get a refund if I can no longer attend?
We’re unable to offer refunds. Let us know if you can’t make it. We may be able to assist you with transferring your tickets to someone on the waiting list.
Can I somehow still come if I can’t afford the ticket price?
We have discount codes available for those in need. Let us know and we’ll find a way.

Can I bring my dog?
For your sake and ours, please do not bring your dog, no matter how well-behaved they are.
Is this a vegetarian friendly event?
While there will be meat at this event, the vegetables will be the star of the show. Most of the items will be both vegan and gluten free.
What is the plan if the weather gets nasty?
The event is rain or shine. We will move to the barn in the event of inclement weather.
Can I camp at the farm?
There are a number of camping options available at the farm. Let us know if you are interested and we can talk more.
